Is Aurora Control free?

Aurora Control offers a 7-day free trial with full access to all six modules. No credit card, no account, no sign-up required. After the trial, a one-time purchase unlocks the app permanently. The price depends on your country and is shown in your local currency, taxes included, on the Buy button at checkout.

Is there a subscription?

No. Aurora Control is a one-time purchase with a perpetual license. You pay once, you own it forever. All future updates within the same major version are included.

What data does Aurora Control collect?

None. All diagnostics run locally on your Mac. Aurora Control does not send any system data to our servers. The only network calls are for license validation (Firebase Anonymous Auth) and auto-updates (Sparkle checks an XML feed). No telemetry, no analytics, no tracking.

Why does Aurora Control need Full Disk Access?

The Storage module scans for leftover app data, and the Privacy module reads the macOS TCC database to audit app permissions. Both require Full Disk Access. You can use all other modules without it.

How does the license work?

Your license is tied to one Mac at a time using a hardware identifier. If you switch Macs, you can transfer your license instantly using the Activate License Key option — no need to contact support.

How do I get my license key?

After purchasing via Paddle, you receive a confirmation email with your license key (format: AUR-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). You can also use the Recover by Email option in the app if you lose it.

Does Aurora Control delete files?

Aurora Control is a diagnostic tool — it helps you understand your Mac, not clean it. The Storage module can identify large files and app leftovers, but any deletion goes to Trash first. Three safety tiers (Safe, Needs Review, Destructive) clearly label every action.

Does it work on Intel Macs?

Aurora Control requires macOS 14.0 (Sonoma) or later. It runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs that support Sonoma.

How do updates work?

Aurora Control uses Sparkle for automatic updates. When a new version is available, you will see a notification the next time you open the app. You can also check manually via the menu Aurora Control > Check for Updates.

What are user profiles?

Aurora Control adapts its thresholds to your workflow. Choose Developer, Designer, Writer, or General — each profile adjusts what counts as normal for CPU, memory, storage, and network usage. You can switch profiles anytime in Settings.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If you are unsatisfied within 14 days of purchase, contact [email protected] or use Paddle’s self-service refund process. The 7-day free trial is specifically designed so you can evaluate the app before buying.

How many languages does it support?

Aurora Control is available in 39 languages, including English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, and many more.
